You get a gold star for putting the church of the fly spaghetti monster on there! The thing most people don’t realize is the intelligent design and evolution aren’t on different sides of the fence. Evolution could be the method at which God created life, who are we to say otherwise (Genesis is awful vague, and seven days of creation is very likely a symbolic number for completeness). The problem lies in scientist putting the cart before the horse and try to come up with an origin on their own, with little evidence to support it.

Man’s problem is sin. Tiger’s aim to search from nothing to find something is oxymoronic. Texas Plane Crash Exposes Gap In US Air Security

GEORGETOWN, Texas – After 9/11, cockpit doors were sealed, air marshals were added and airport searches became more aggressive, all to make sure an airliner could never again be used as a weapon. Yet little has been done to guard against attacks with smaller planes.

That point was driven home with chilling force on Thursday when a Texas man with a grudge against the IRS crashed his single-engine plane into an office building in a fiery suicide attack. One person inside the building was also killed.

“It’s a big gap,” said R. William Johnstone, an aviation security consultant and former staff member of the commission that investigated the Sept. 11 attacks. “It wouldn’t take much, even a minor incident involving two simultaneously attacking planes, to inflict enough damage to set off alarm bells and do some serious harm to the economy and national psyche.”

If I remember my Bible studies correctly…Satan was that angel who said no thanks, I think I’ll do it my way. In AA we say ‘self will run riot’. We heal thru helpfulness. I think Micheal was trying to be helpful making us think. It’s not about self. In the Great scheme of things we cannot kill, only think we can, therefore we have ‘self will run riot’. If we keep killing the bad guys…no wonder our kids want to kill the percieved bad guy.

Hey John,

I also have a garden this year and know exactly what you are talking about with the weeds. I cared for it daily and then I had to go away for a week and when I got home, the deer had eaten everything! I was very upset and even cried over my loss. God and I had been using that garden as a wonderful meeting place. We would talk and share as I worked and it made gardening all the better. I began to complain a little about it (okay, a lot), feeling like how could God let this happen when it was so important to me – to us. That is when he reminded me of a garden long ago. He use to walk in this garden too and talk with its keepers and then one day, just like that, that place of communion with him was destroyed. How? Sin. Sin entered into the Garden of Eden through Adam and Eve through one decision.

Now I know deer are not sinful, but they sure can be used by God to make a point about sin and the dangers we face in the “gardens of our lives.”

Bless you this weekend. I pray everything goes better than you could have imagined and that there would even be a couple of wonderful surprises for you as God unfolds what he is doing in your life through this discipline (Centurions) you have untaken.

John, God puts us or should I say allows us times ti share his love to others. I have been in numerous situations where I can share the gospel and have not. Then there are times where the door is opened and the Holy Spirit just pushes me through it. I then remember it is “good news” and my heart is so grateful for what the Lord has done for me that I cannot do anything but open my mouth and share the Lord’s goodness. Why is it sometimes and not all the times? I think it is more “fear of man” instead fo gratefullness from me! The more I read the gospels and put myself right in there, the more I love the Lord and the more I want to share him with others. As I look at all my problems in living in this world, the more I desire to be more like my Lord. Humbly I have so far to go, but the Lord knows my heart. How I love him so! I have been there brother and it is just time to get back up and put the lost or blown oppertunity behind and go and seek the lost and remember that God’s word never returns void, you have planted the seed! I am looking forward to reading you messages.
